Most of the songs in the Repertoire Sections of each syllabus can be downloaded in two different formats: Audio and Sheet Music.

Audio
As each song is listed in the Repertoire Sections of each grade, a speaker icon will appear beside the song to link you directly with a downloadable audio version of that song (in MP3 or AAC format). You can listen to a 30-second clip for free, or download the entire song for 99 cents. You will be asked to download iTunes before any song can be heard.

Sheet Music
As each song is listed in the Repertoire Sections of each grade, the letters “SM” (for Sheet Music) will appear beside the song to link you directly with a site that offers an instantly downloadable version of the sheet music. You can view the first page for free, or download all pages of the song for 99 cents (and up). You will be asked to download a plug-in before any song can be viewed or printed.

All of these sheet music downloads are legitimate, authentic, recorded-version transcriptions. They are authorized, licensed and legal. As per the Syllabus Guidelines, text-version Internet Tabs (i.e. the free, user-created, mistake-riddled ones) are not permitted for these exams.

For songs that are not available in sheet music format, one or more book suggestions are given. These can be ordered below:

- Electric Guitar Books
- Acoustic Guitar Books
- Bass Guitar Books
